 I.R. IRAN over SMART-GILAS PILIPINAS, 78-59
IRN 78 - Haddadi 36, Sahakian 16, Davari 9, Barogh 6, Davarpanah 3, Davoudi 3, Veisi 2, Kardoust 2, Nabipoor 1, Rouzbahani 0
PHL 59 - Douthit 16, Barroca 10, Lassiter 10, Hontiveros 6, Tiu 5, Aguilar 5, Baracael 5, Taulava 2, Lutz 0
QS: 20-11, 36-27, 56-38, 78-59
- Gilas missed the services of JV Casio, and it showed. Without the luxury of Casio's 3-point accuracy and his steady playmaking, the FIlipinos groped for form and were just manhandled by the Iranians.
- Memphis Grizzly Hamed Haddadi was his monster self, scoring 36 points, grabbing 8 rebounds and blocking 5 shots. Iran didn't seem to miss the services of their own top guard, Mehdi Kamrani, who was also out due to injury. Iran also outshot Gilas from long range, hitting 7 triples compared to only 3 for the Pinoys.
- Iran moves on to the Jones Cup Finals to face Korea as the Pinoys drop to the 3rd Place match versus the home team.

SOUTH KOREA over TAIWAN, 90-85
KOR 90 - Stevenson 28, Kim YH 14, Kim JS 12, Oh 11, Cho 9, Ha 7, Kang 6, Yang DG 2, Yang HJ 1, Lee 0, Kim JK 0
TPE 85 - Chen HA 22, Chang 12, Lee 12, Chien 9, Creighton 8, Lin 7, Lu 6, Ho 6, Su 3, Chen SH 0
QS: 16-11, 26-23, 44-52, 71-71, 90-85 (OT)
- The Koreans came back to life late in the 2nd half and in overtime to turn back the hot-shooting Taiwanese. Jarod Stevenson and Cho Sung-Min teamed up in the late stages to thwart the efforts of a resilient home squad, which missed the services of big man Tseng Wen-Ting.
- Taiwan hit 11 triples to make up for their lack in inside presence, storming back from a halftime deficit to take a sizeable margin in the 4th period. The Korean, however, never wavered and proved to be very poised down the stretch, even when their own big men, Kim Joo-Sung and Oh Se-Keun, went out of the game due to fouls.
- Stevenson was outstanding again, hitting 5 triples on his way to a game-high 28 points. CBA mainstay Chen Hsin-An, meanwhile, led Taiwan with 22 points, most of which were made on a bevy of drives and jumpers.
- Korea advances to face Iran in the Finals while Taiwan is relegated to a battle for 3rd against the Philippines.

JAPAN over MALAYSIA, 98-53

JPN 98 - Noguchi 24, Nishimura 19, Hinkley 14, Togashi 12, Watanabe 10, Hashimoto 7, Sakai 6, Ito 4, Arao 1, Kamata 1, Ota 0
MAS 53 - Kuek 12, Wee 10, Batumalai 9, Kwaan 8, Chee 7, Loh 4, Ho 3, Ooi 0, Ng 0, Chin 0, Ong 0, Soo 0
QS: 27-13, 48-30, 76-40, 98-53
- Japan rested top shooters KJ Matsui and Takeki Shonaka in this consolation encounter against Malaysia. They still, however, won quite handily thanks to the combined 10 threes of Daisuke Noguchi, Fumio Nishimura and Yuki Togashi.
- Malaysia has no more games after losing this one, but they go back home with truckloads of experience they can use in the SEA Games.
- Japan moves on to face Jordan in the 5th place game.
