2011 PBA Philippine Cup Semifinals: Tigers’ Twin Thirties

the Tigers tied up the series at 1-1.

Marcio Lassiter bounced back strong from a dismal showing, forming a deadly duo with Gary David as Powerade fought back and drubbed Rain or Shine in Game Two of their PBA Philippine Cup best-of-seven semifinal showdown.


Lassiter and David exploded for 62 points together as the Tigers recovered from their Game One defeat, beating the Elasto Painters in a high-scoring game to force a 1-1 tie in the series.

Lassiter, the former Smart Gilas mainstay, also churned out 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1  block in a giant comeback from his two-point game Wednesday. David remained on a roll, coming through with a fourth straight 30-plus effort.

Rookie rivals Paul Lee and Marcio Lassiter will continue
their duel for at least 3 more games.

The Tigers broke loose from a tight game in the third period and held sway to the finish with Sean Anthony, Doug Kramer, JV Casio, Celino Cruz and Romel Adducul having their shares. Anthony tallied 11 points and 15 rebounds in a solid game he capped with a big block on Larry Rodriguez at the finish.
