SINGAPORE SLINGERS over CHANG THAILAND SLAMMERS, 74-63
The Singapore Slingers grabbed their first win after making a huge come back in the second half over the defending champions Chang Thailand Slammers.
The Slingers were down by as many as 14 points in the third quarter before making a 21-3 run in the last 5 minutes of the quarter. Slingers’ guard Desmond Oh came up big with 16 points. Slingers’ import Louis Graham had another big double-double with 23 points and 15 rebounds.
The leading scorer of the night, however, was still Chang Thailand Slammers’ big man Deandre Thomas with 27 points and 8 rebounds, followed closely by Kenneth Walker’s 15 points and 16 rebounds.
The Slingers will have a bit of a break as their next match will be at the Lan Binh Thang Stadium in Vietnam against the Saigon Heat on the 25th of January 2012, but the Slammers will have another big game in just three days’ time against compatriots the Bangkok Cobras on the 21st of January 2012.
