It’s undeniable that the Cleveland Cavaliers’ rise to the 2016 NBA championship was awe-inspiring and historic. The Cavs entered the 2015-2016 season with a lot of questions and mounting pressure. They let go of David Blatt midway through their campaign, endured Kevin Love trade rumors, and, of course, had to live through the kind of media scrutiny that can only come with having LeBron James on the squad.

Still, they finished the regular season as the top Eastern Conference team, sweeping the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks in the first two rounds of the 2016 NBA Playoffs before disposing of a game Toronto Raptors team in six ECF contests.

They booked a rematch in the NBA Finals with no less than the Golden State Warriors, who rewrote history by winning 73 regular season games, eclipsing the Chicago Bulls’ 72-win record from the 1995-1996 season. Nearly everyone picked the Dubs to cruise to the title, especially after winning three of the first four games of the best-of-seven series, but, as fate would have it, LeBron James and the Cavs cemented their own place in the history books by being the first team to rally from a 1-3 Finals deficit to snare the crown from the defending champs.

Relive their victorious run and all the drama in this short (revamped) documentary from ESPN!

This is actually a reworked version of the original Believeland 30 for 30 documentary that ESPN released earlier in 2016. Chronicling Cleveland’s often tragic history in professional sports, Believeland 1.0 focused on iconic sports moments like the fumble, the drive, the shot, and, of course, the decision. It eventually served to be an auspicious sign as Cleveland finally broke their curse, forcing ESPN to rework their well-received documentary to accommodate their first pro title in more than 50 years.
