The San Miguel Beermen bounced back from a Game 2 loss by frustrating the Ginebra Gin Kings in Game 3 of the 2016-2017 PBA Philippine Cup Finals!

The San Miguel Beermen surged ahead in the Oppo PBA Philippine Cup Finals after getting a strong performance from PBA MVP June Mar Fajardo to beat Barangay Ginebra San Miguel, 99-88, in Game 3 on Wednesday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

Fajardo, who struggled for just 10 points and seven rebounds in a foul-plagued showing in Game 2, bounced back with 17 points and 18 rebounds in this one.

San Miguel guards Chris Ross and Alex Cabagnot also had solid shooting nights with Ross scoring 24 points on 58-percent shooting and Cabagnot chipping in with 20 points, including three three-pointers, to help the Beermen take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven title series.

SMB bucked another slow start, trailing by as many as 12 points in the first half, before figuring things out in the second half.

The Beermen especially dominated the final stretch, holding Ginebra scoreless over the last 4:02 of the game to close out on a 12-0 run. (Interaksyon.com)
