- Ayman Idais's replacement at the slot, Ali Zaghab, stepped up big time in this one. He helped limit Marcus Douthit to just 10 points while making 17 himself. He established himself early in the game and played solid all throughout.
- The Pinoys were able to stick with Jordan for the whole game, but some miscues at the end, and leaving Enver Soobzokov wide open too may times, sealed the loss.
- Coach Tab Baldwin played a tight 8-man rotation, making sure that only his best players would go up against the Pinoys.
- It's clear that one of coach Rajko Toroman's challenges will be to find other ways to score inside in case Douthit gets checked again.

- Jarod Stevenson hit 5 triples to lead the charge for Korea, who exploited the absence of Iran's top wing players to the hilt.
- Hamed Haddadi outplayed Ha Seung-JIn in the battle of the giants, but he was not as effective as he was two days ago against the Philippines. He seems to have slowed down a bit, though his shooting touch is still there.
- This is Iran's 2nd loss already, and, considering they haven't played Jordan and Taiwan yet, it means they're in bad shape to reach the Jones Cup semifinals.

- This is just the win Taiwan needed to get back on track after getting whipped by the Pinoys.
- The Malaysians were visibly outclassed from the get-go, and they should expect more rough seas as the days go by.
- Taiwan was able to give some of its younger and inexperienced players some burn to prep them for the remaining games.
