B-MEG LLAMADOS over MERALCO BOLTS, 95-79
A 22-point lead wasn’t comfortable enough for the B-Meg Llamados as they still had to rely on Peter June Simon and Kerby Raymundo for clutch baskets in the fourth quarter to hold off a late charge by the Meralco Bolts.
Simon scored 12 of his 15 points in the fourth quarter and teamed-up with Kerby Raymundo (15 points) to open the period with a 13-5 flurry that kept the Bolts at bay and secured B-Meg’s second successive win and fourth overall in eight games. James Yap led all scorers with a conference-high 25 points, including 11 in the first quarter to get things going for the Llamados, who avenged their 78-84 loss at the hands of the Bolts last Oct. 15. Marc Pingris grabbed 12 rebounds as B-Meg outrebounded Meralco, 50-43.
Gabby Espinas showed the way for Meralco with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Cardona collected 14 points and so did Taulava, who also recorded a double-double with 13 rebounds.

RAIN OR SHINE ELASTO-PAINTERS over BARAKO BULL ENERGY, 93-81
Rain or Shine pounced on the fourth quarter ejection of Barako Bull coach Junel Baculi as it repulsed repeated rallies to hack out a victory and snare the solo lead in the PBA Philippine Cup.
Paul Lee came through with a solid all-around performance of 17 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal.
The Energy, who saw their coach ejected at the start of the final canto, fell to their third loss against five triumphs but remained at No. 3. Barako Bull coach Junel Baculi was tossed out early in the fourth after he was slapped with his second technical foul. A couple of minutes later, his player, Don Allado, was also assessed a technical foul.

Kings glided their way to a convincing victory over the Clickers to spring back
into the winning track.
Well aware of the ability of Shopinas.com to pull off its very first win in the season-opening tournament, Ginebra tore the game apart by heavily outscoring the bottom-dwelling franchise, 33-13, in the second period, and in the proccess collected its fourth win in eight games while dealing Shopinas.com its ninth loss in a row.
Willy Wilson scored 12 points and pulled down 9 rebounds, Caneleta had 12 points, and Jay-Jay Helterbrand, fast re-discovering his touch from the long court, added 10 points for the Kings. RJ Jazul led the Clickers with 11 points while Dennis Daa and James Sena contributed 10 apiece.

B-MEG LLAMADOS over ALASKA ACES, 92-89
James Yap desperately struggled with his shooting nearly all night but still managed to rescue his team when the going got tough. The two-time Most Valuable Player knocked in two huge shots in the second overtime that led to a barrage of baskets and propelled B-Meg to a win past Alaska. After going 2-of-11 in the second half and 1-of-4 in the first overtime, James Yap made all four of his attempts in the second extra period.
James Yap eventually finished with 24 points on an 11-of-26 shooting from the floor. Rookie Mark Barroca, who played for 31 minutes in the absence of the injure PJ Simon, scored a career-high 22 points and Raymundo added 14 for the Llamados, who won despite making just one of 15 attempts from 3-point range and shooting just 45 percent from the field.
L.A Tenorio had an excellent game and led all scorers with a second career-best 28 points, but he played sparingly in the extra periods because of cramps. Cyrus Baguio scored 17 points and had 10 boards while Jay-r Reyes added 14 and 13 rebounds as Alaska outrebounded B-Meg, 59-54.

PETRON BLAZE BOOSTERS over RAIN OR SHINE ELASTO-PAINTERS, 90-80
Petron Blaze got a big boost from Fil-Am rookie Chris Lutz's return as it sent Rain or Shine back to earth. Arwind Santos led the team with 25 points including the two-handed monster jam in the end that sealed it, but it was the talented Lutz, who sat out two games due to a hamstring injury, who made things happen after firing 22 points that he laced with three triples as the Boosters moved up to third place with a 6-3 slate.
Alex Cabagnot had 16 points he spiked with 11 assists, 5 boards and 2 steals while Joseph Yeo chipped in 16 markers including five that helped in quashing a late rally by Rain or Shine.
Petron shot respectably well from the field after making 19 of its 40 shots there while Rain or Shine was just the opposite and muffed 27 of the 32 shots it attempted for a miserable 15.6 percent.
