Like in previous posts, I won’t be going into a lot of detail. I’ll use mostly images and then just add captions to each one that will, hopefully, capture the essence of the latest developments in Asian hoops.
Here are the highlights of this past week in Asian basketball:
- The 2015 CBA Playoffs has started, with teams like the GuangDong Southern Tigers and Liaoning Flying Leopards looming as the favorites to dethrone the Beijing Ducks.
- In the KBL, the top three teams are pretty much set, while as many as five teams still have a shot at completing the six-team playoff cast.
- The NBL saw some not-so-heralded teams like Toyota, Hokkaido, and Kumamoto gain some ground even as leaders like Tochigi and Aisin remained at the top.
- In the SBL, the biggest upset came from Yulon Luxgen, which beat powerhouse Fubon, while league leader Pure Youth remained on top after defeating Taiwan Beer.
- After a two-year drought, Mahram Tehran finally copped an IBF Super League crown again! They defeated Petrochimi Bandar Imam in the Finals of the season’s first conference.
- The Lebanese Basketball League continued to heat up this week, especially after Sagesse was on the wrong end of an upset at the hands of United Byblos-Amchit (UBA).

| Luo Hanchen hit the game-winner in Game 1 as Dongguan beat GuangDong. The Southern Tigers rebounded in Game 2 to square the series, 1-1, though. |

| Steph Marbury goes up strong against the Jilin Northeast Tigers. Marbury's Beijing Ducks now have a commanding 2-0 edge. |

| Davon Jefferson dropped a big game as the Changwon LG Sakers continued to roll in the KBL. |

| Legendary Korean hoopster Hur Jae resigned from his head coaching post for the Jeonju KCC Egis. His squad is near the bottom of the standings with an 11-34 record. |

| Kim Joo-Sung is the Tim Duncan of Korean hoops. He continues to defy his age every season. He helped Wonju Dongbu Promy beat the Seoul SK Knights this past week. |

| Lee Jung-Hyun tossed in 19 points as Anyang KGC slipped past Busan KT Sonic Boom in a crucial match for positioning this past week. |
2014-2015 Japan National Basketball League (NBL):

| Daisuke Kobayashi drives strong to the hoop against the D of the Wakayama Trians. Kobayashi and the rest of Link Tochigi Brex beat Wakayama to stay at second place in the East. |

| Young big man Tenketsu Harimoto helped the Toyota Alvark beat the Mistubishi Diamond Dolphins, 87-78. This was only the Dolphins' eighth loss of the season and Toyota's 17th victory. |

| Yusuke Okada lets one fly, but his Hiroshima Dragonflies still lost to a streaking Levanga Hokkaido, 59-68. |
2014-2015 Taiwan Super Basketball League (SBL):

| Chen Shun-Hsiang helped lift the Bank of Taiwan over the Dacin Tigers, 78-74. |

| Doug Creighton had another stellar showing as Pure Youth defeated Taiwan Beer, 79-75. Pure Youth remained in solo first, while Taiwan Beer tumbled to third spot. |

| NT sniper Lu Cheng-Ju helped lead Yulon Luxgen in upsetting the Fubon Braves, 73-67. Yulon moved up to a tie for fourth place with Bank of Taiwan. |
