Like in previous posts, I won’t be going into a lot of detail. I’ll use mostly images and then just add captions to each one that will, hopefully, capture the essence of the latest developments in Asian hoops.
Here are the highlights of this past week in Asian basketball:
- The Beijing Ducks repeated as CBA Champions after beating the Liaoning Flyng Leopards in Game 6, 106-98.
- The KBL Playoffs continued to heat up as both semifinal series are squared at 1-1.
- The NBL season in Japan saw an exciting race for the final playoff spot in the Eastern division, with the Chiba Jets and Toyota Alvark fighting for the postseason ticket.
- The SBL Playoffs have also ramped up the excitement as Pure Youth and Taiwan Beer advance to the Finals.
- In the IBF Superleague, Petrochimi rose in the standings after a narrow win over arch-rival Mahram while Naft Abadan handed Azad its first loss of the conference.
- The LBL saw its favored teams continue to do well as Riyadi, UBA, Sagesse, and Champville all won this past week.
- In Qatar, Al Gharafa advances to the semifinals against Al Rayyan, while El Jaish continues to play the waiting game
