MERALCO BOLTS over TNT KA TROPA, 106-91

The Meralco Bolts put on a high-voltage performance as they cruised to a wire-to-wire win over the TNT KaTropa, 106-91, to level their playoff encounter in Thursday’s Game 2 of the Oppo PBA Governors’ Cup best-of-five semifinal series at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
Allen Durham tallied 22 of his 31 points in the first half to go along with 21 boards as the Bolts got back on track after getting walloped by 18 points in Game One.
Chris Newsome had a solid outing of 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Jimmy Alapag chipped in 16 points spiked by four triples.
TNT was led by Jayson Castro with 24 points, but he was scoreless in the fourth period and had to be pulled out early. He didn’t return as TNT head coach Jong Uichico opted to preserve him for the next game on Saturday.
