Like in previous posts, I won’t be going into a lot of detail. I’ll use mostly images and then just add captions to each one that will, hopefully, capture the essence of the latest developments in Asian hoops.
Here are the highlights of this past week in Asian basketball:
- The 2015 NBL-Japan Playoffs are set with the top eight teams all seeded and only one round left to play before the quarterfinals begin!
- In the LBL, semifinal action continues to heat up as Champville and Al Riyadi are level, while UBA has taken a commanding 2-0 lead over Sagesse.
- In the IBF Superleague’s second conference, Azad, Petrochimi, and Mahram continue to jostle for the top spot, while Gorgan and Naft Abadan follow in the middle of the pack.
- Over in Qatar, it will be El Jaish and Al Gharafa facing off in the Finals after they defeated Al Rayyan and Al Arabi respectively.

| National team wingman Saeid Davarpanah goes up strong as Mahram beat Gorgan last week. Davarpanah scored 13 points off the bench. |

| Vahid Nouroozi sizes up the defense of Filip Videnov in their game last week. Nouroozi scored 7 points, but his team, Samen, still lost to Azad, 93-51. |

| Former NT shooter Elie Stephan rises up to shoot over Mo Ibrahim. Stephan and Sagesse dropped Game 1 of their semis tiff with UBA, 67-76. |

| Jasmon Youngblood has been practically unstoppable for UBA. He scored 31 points in a Game 2 win last night. |

| 2015 NBA Draft hopeful Wael Arakji had 11 points and 8 assists as Al Riyadi blasted Champville in Game 1, 113-69. |

| Nikoloz Tsikitishvili scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Champville knotted their semis series with Al Riyadi a few days ago at 1-1. |
