Hoop Nut VLog Episode 7: The One Where Andrew Wiggins is ROY

In continuing our efforts to break new ground, Rollz and I have decided to push on with this Video Log thingy until we get tired of it or, as is more probable, until we just cannot find the time to do it anymore.

In Episode 7 of the Hoop Nut Video Log, Rolly and I pick our end-of-season NBA individual awards! We give our picks for ROY, 6MOY, MIP, and COTY while also filling up our own All-NBA Teams.

Hoop Nut VLog Episode 5: The One Where We Talk About Jordan Clarkson

In continuing our efforts to break new ground, Rollz and I have decided to push on with this Video Log thingy until we get tired of it or, as is more probable, until we just cannot find the time to do it anymore.

In Episode 5 of the Hoop Nut VLog, Rolly and I talk about the MVP and DPOY races in the NBA, Jordan Clarkson’s rise as a rookie, Andrew Wiggins’s wicked slam over the Stifle Tower, and the 3-peat KBL champions.

The Annual #BallerAwards: The Best of the NBA in 2014

In lieu of a year-ender, I felt it would be better to go position-by-position and look at the best ballers of 2014.

In this post, I will talk about the guys who did really well in the National Basketball Association in 2014. Perhaps they led their teams to the title. Perhaps they led the league in a certain statistical category. Perhaps they made history. Perhaps they did all of those things.

The trade between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves (and to a lesser extent, the Philadelphia 76ers) was first reported in the middle of July. Finally, after more than a month of rumors and speculations, the trade involving Kevin Love and Andrew Wiggins (plus a few other players and draft picks) has been completed and finalized. Kevin Love got what he wanted which was to be traded to a contender while LeBron James received a sweet shooting sidekick that can grab rebounds like there's no tomorrow.

The NBA: 2014 Draft Preview

The NBA Finals finished earlier than most expected and that officially ended season 2013-2014 of the NBA. In a couple of days, season 2014-2015 will begin with the 2014 NBA Draft to be held in New York City.

The aspiring rookies of this season are projected to be among the very best. There are some ramblings that this draft class can be compared to 2003 and 1984. I will reserve my opinion until I have seen these players play in the NBA level. That being said, there are around five players (maybe more) who can definitely be impact players from Day One. Here is a preview of what might happen during the selection of lottery picks (the first 14 picks that belong to teams who missed the playoffs).
