AHS 4BG 99 over AHS 4J 99, 67-50
- Despite the absence of swingman Kenneth Cordova and big man Ivan Pimentel, 4BG was still able to control the pace of this game almost from the get-go.
- Yong Gregorio had another impressive showing, almost netting another triple-double with 15 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists to go along with 2 steals and 2 blocks. Fellow G-boy Sandro Paredes was also in-form, scoring 15 markers off the bench and shooting 7-of-13 from the floor. Joey Puno, Clint Erestain, and Bam Mammuad rounded out the balanced attack of BG, combining for 31 points.
- The twin towers of 4J, Marty Gallego and Joe Silva, continued their solid performance, pairing up for 34 points and 20 rebounds to lead 4J in its farewell game. 4J also suffered the absence of some of its key players.
- With this win, BG moves on to the Finals against tormentors 4E. Led by Bajjie Del Rosario and Bogey Bernardo, the E-boys prevailed in their first match with BG, and they repeated the feat two weeks later. 4E's only loss came at the hands of 4J, who stained the E-boys' record in the last day of eliminations.
- Can BG finally get over the hump and upset the E-boys in the Finals, or will 4E win over BG a third time in as many meetings to annex the maiden Batch 99 crown? Find out on Saturday, March 17, 2012, 5pm at the Moro Lorenzo Sports Center! Watch your batchmates slug it out for the title!
