The NBA Playoffs: 1st Round Predictions Recap

The 2nd Round of the 2012 NBA Playoffs are halfway done and we (hoopnut and I) have already given our predictions for this round. You can find them HEREIN HERE and THERE.

But before we give any importance to how good (or lucky) we are when it comes to predicting and forecasting the outcome of a series, how about we examine the results of the 1st Round predictions to see how accurate (or sucky) we were.

I have decided to tabulate our picks by giving 2 points for the correct series winner with the exact number of games, 1 point for the correct team but wrong number of games and then zero if the wrong team was chosen.

The actual winners of the first round were: Sixers in 6, Heat in 5, Celtics in 6, Pacers in 5, Spurs in 4, Thunder in 4, Lakers in 7 and Clippers in 7.
