The Houston Rockers put a big scare in
the Thunder, the Pacers went up 2-0 on the Hawks, and the Lakers looked worse
for wear against the Spurs in today’s NBA Playoffs.

Best:
- Tony Parker was just money in the second half for the Spurs. The fiery Frenchman scored 24 of his 28 points in the final two quarters, shooting 8-of-14 from the field in that stretch and dishing out 7 assists overall.
- Houston’s Patrick Beverley was as pesky as hell, and unless you were Russell Westrbook, you probably loved every minute of it. 16 points, 12 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and a block? Are you friggin’ kidding?!
- Paul George continued to pour in numbers worthy of his All-Star billing. The oversized two guard scattered 27 points, 8 boards, and 4 steals against Atlanta in Game 2.

Worst:
- Chandler Parsons sucked big time from the field today. 7-of-23 shooting? Damn, son, just sit on the bench if you’re gonna do that. SMH.
- For most other NBA bigs, 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 blocks translates into a good performance. For the Lakers’s Dwight Howard, however, that’s just mediocre.

Score: Oklahoma City 105, Houston 102
Oklahoma City, OK (Sports Network) -
Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder shook off the pesky Houston Rockets
and took Game 2 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series, 105-102,
despite blowing a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter. Durant scored 21 of his
29 points in the first half, Russell Westbrook also added 29 points and Serge
Ibaka totaled 12 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks in the hard-fought win.
James Harden finished with 36 points and 11 boards for the Rockets, who lost
Jeremy Lin to a muscle contusion in his right chest but received an unlikely
double-double from rookie Patrick Beverley and 17 points from Chandler Parsons.
Beverley logged 16 points, 12 rebounds and six assists after earning a start
for the first time all season. Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday night in
Houston, where the Rockets went 29-12 in the regular season.

Score: Indiana 113, Atlanta 98
Indianapolis, IN (Sports Network) - Paul
George was exceptional for the second straight game and the Indiana Pacers took
a commanding 2-0 series lead with a 113-98 romping of the Atlanta Hawks at
Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal.
George followed his Game 1 triple- double with an efficient 27 points on
11-of-21 shooting. The All-Star and newly minted Most Improved Player of the
Year also chipped in with eight rebounds and four steals. George Hill scored 22
and Indiana received 38 points from its bench, which was led by Gerald Green's
15. Roy Hibbert also scored 15, while also tallying nine rebounds and three
blocks in the victory. Atlanta was unable to keep pace with the Pacers
offensively, with Devin Harris scoring a team-best 17 points. Josh Smith and
Jeff Teague each chipped in with 16 and Al Horford finished with 13 points and
10 boards in the setback. The Hawks will look to rebound when the series shifts
to Atlanta on Saturday, with tip off scheduled for 7 p.m. (et).

Score: San Antonio 102, LA Lakers 91
San Antonio, TX (Sports Network) - Tony
Parker scored 24 of his 28 points in the second half to lead the San Antonio
Spurs past the Los Angeles Lakers, 102-91, in Game 2 of their Western
Conference quarterfinal series. For the second straight game the Spurs pulled
away behind a balanced attack and are headed to Los Angeles for Game 3 on
Friday with a 2-0 series lead. Kawhi Leonard and Tim Duncan each chipped in 16
points while Manu Ginobili added 13 in 19 minutes for the Spurs, who shot 51
percent from the field. Steve Blake and Dwight Howard netted 16 apiece for the
Lakers, but Blake left in the second half with a right hamstring strain. Metta
World Peace and Pau Gasol each donated 13 points in the loss.
