Game Capsules from The Sports Network:
April 28, 2015:
Brooklyn 120, Atlanta 115 (OT)
Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Deron Williams came alive and the Nets evened their first-round playoff series with the Hawks. The maligned point guard didn't just have his best offensive game of the series. It was his best in years. After totaling just 18 points in the first three games, Williams poured in 35 on Monday night and No. 8-seeded Brooklyn beat Atlanta 120-115 in overtime to tie the series at 2-2. The Nets will take a two-game winning streak into Game 5 on Wednesday in Atlanta, where they kept it close in two losses to open the series.
Milwaukee 94, Chicago 88
Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Bucks won't stop here. Michael Carter- Williams scored eight of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and Milwaukee staved off elimination yet again with a 94-88 win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday. Carter-Williams battled through an ankle injury and shot 10- of-15 from the field while adding nine assists and eight rebounds for the Bucks, who needed a buzzer-beating Jerryd Bayless layup to save their season in Game 4. The young upstarts were much more convincing on Monday, leading the entire second half and making the United Center crowd a non-factor most of the night. Khris Middleton finished with 21 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo chipped in with 11, and John Henson pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds in addition to key baskets and defense down the stretch.
Portland 99, Memphis 92
Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Playing with their backs against the wall and in front of their home crowd, the Portland Trail Blazers rallied for a win in Game 4 of their Western Conference quarterfinal series. Damian Lillard scored 32 points to lead the Blazers in a 99-92 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. C.J. McCollum had 18 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Blazers, who now trail the series with Memphis 3-1 after snapping a seven-game losing streak dating back to April 8. Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies with 21 points to go along with seven rebounds and six assists. Courtney Lee dropped in 19 points and Zach Randolph chipped in 12 points and nine rebounds. Memphis was playing without star point guard Mike Conley, who underwent facial surgery on Monday to repair a fracture he sustained in the third quarter of Game 3. Nick Calathes had 12 points in place of Conley.
