Rain or Shine import Wayne Chism, who had 14 points at the break, matched that output in the third quarter as they closed back in, 76-70, heading into the final period.

They came to as close as five points in the fourth quarter, but a late 10-4 run from the Tropang Texters, highlighted by a triple from Castro and a three-point play from De Ocampo, restored a double-digit margin with one minute left to play.

Chism finished with 24 points and 16 rebounds, but he turned the ball over five times. Paul Lee finished with 13 points, but only two came after halftime.
