TALK N TEXT TROPANG TEXTERS over BLACKWATER ELITE, 98-91
Box scores.
The Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters finally ended a four-game losing skid after a strong second half turnaround against the Blackwater Elite, 98-91, on Friday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

Matt Ganuelas-Rosser led Talk ‘N Text with 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks. He scored 15 of his team-high total in the second half, where Talk ‘N Text outscored Blackwater by 16 points, 57-41.

For a moment, the Commissioner’s Cup champions looked like they would remain mired in their slump, falling behind by as many as 16 points in the first half. They entered the halftime break trailing, 50-41.

But the Tropang Texters came out with a strong third quarter as Danny Seigle scored seven straight points in one stretch and Ganuelas-Rosser energized the team with a dunk and a lay-up in transition to cap a 15-5 run.

They only trailed by one point, 71-70, heading into the fourth.

Talk ‘N Text also went on a 9-0 run early in the final period to finally take the lead, 79-73. A three-pointer from Larry Fonacier gave them their largest lead of eight points, 86-78, and Ranidel De Ocampo knocked down three three-pointers in the late minutes to hold off Blackwater’s attempts at a rally.

Brian Heruela recorded a near-triple-double to pace Blackwater, putting up 21 points, 11 assists, and 7 rebounds. New import Marcus Cousin dropped 16 markers and grabbed 9 boards.

Line of the Game: Brian Heruela (BLA) - 21pts, 11asts, 7rebs, 2 triples, 8/14 FGs.

Brian Heruela was the best player on the floor, but he was playing on the losing side.

New import Marcus Cousin didn't exactly impress in his PBA debut.

Matt Rosser flashed fine form in leading TNT to the big win over Blackwater.

The Batang Pier led by as many as 30 following a strong start and never let NLEX mount a comeback.

Line of the Game: Jarrid Famous (GLO) - 30pts, 24rebs, 4asts, 2stls, 3blks, 12/20 FGs.
