MAHINDRA ENFORCER over SAN MIGUEL BEERMEN, 105-103
Box Scores.

The Mahindra Enforcer survived a 43-point explosion from AZ Reid to notch a 105-103 win over defending champions San Miguel Beermen and get off to a 3-0 start in the PBA Governors’ Cup Wednesday at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

James White countered Reid’s superb performance with 34 points and 11 rebounds, and he also defended the Beermen import’s attempt on a game-winning triple which would have completed San Miguel’s rally.

The Enforcer are now the solo leaders at 3-0, their best start in their young franchise.

KG Canaleta added 17 points for Mahindra, which also got 12 markers from Paulo Taha.

It was also fitting that the Enforcer nailed the big win in front of its listed head coach Manny Pacquiao, who attended his team’s game live for the first time since the Philippine Cup.

Alex Cabagnot finished with 15 points, while June Mar Fajardo chipped in 13 points and 10 boards for San Miguel, which fell to 2-1.

Lines of the Game:
James White (MAH) - 34pts, 11rebs, 2asts, 1stl, 15/25 FGs.
AZ Reid (SMB) - 43pts, 11rebs, 3asts, 1stl, 5 triples, 17/33 FGs.
