#JonesCup2015 Roundup: Day Nine

The 2015 Jones Cup ended yesterday with Gilas Pilipinas and Taiwan Blue completing the top three. The Pinoys beat Taiwan White, and Taiwan Blue beat Korea to book their podium finishes. In other games, Russia also upended Japan, while Team USA dropped a tight one to the Kiwis.

#JonesCup2015 Roundup: Day Eight

On the penultimate day of competition, Iran played its last game and secured the the 2015 Jones Cup championship crown after defeating Russia. In other games, Japan earned back-to-back wins by beating Taiwan White, Gilas stayed alive for second place after tripping Team USA, and Taiwan Blue rallied to upset New Zealand.

#JonesCup2015 Roundup: Day Seven

The seventh day of the 2015 Jones Cup was once again full of exciting moments. The Philippines opened the day with a pulsating comeback overtime win over New Zealand, which was followed by an unexpected triumph by erstwile winless Japan over East Asian foe Korea. The USA gained momentum by tripping Taiwan White, while Taiwan Blue fell short against mighty Iran.

#JonesCup2015 Roundup: Day Six

Iran reasserted its supremacy on the sixth day of the 2015 Jones Cup. Hamed Haddadi led Iran as they sent the Philippines crashing back to earth, while the Kiwis beat the Japanese. In the last two games, Korea continued to roll after beating Taiwan White, and Taiwan Blue handed Russia its second loss.

It was an interesting fifth day in the 2015 Jones Cup yesterday, with Iran suffering its first defeat, Russia bouncing back from a loss to the Philippines, and Gilas Pilipinas rallying past Japan.

The 2015 Jones Cup entered its fourth day of competition yesterday, and the highlight was certainly the Philippine victory over an overly physical Russian side. Also, Iran remained the only unbeaten squad after drubbing New Zealand.
