INDONESIA WARRIORS over SINGAPORE SLINGERS, 65-57
Last year’s best local player Mario Wuysang had another big game against the Singapore Slingers. After scoring 23 points last month against Singapore, Wuysang scored 21 points this time around to give the Warriors another big win. Steven Thomas also came up big for the Warriors by recording his seventh double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
Donald Little finished with 20 points, while Louis Graham added 15 points for the Slingers. Graham was struggling with his shots as he shot just 7-of-25 from the floor.
Indonesia’s coach, Todd Purves, made a change in his starting line-up, putting in Allan Salangsang instead of Rony Gunawan. Salangsang did not disappoint, scoring 8 points and grabbing 7 rebounds in his first start for the Warriors. Another key for the Warriors in this game was dominating the boards. The Warriors out-rebounded the Slingers 52-29.

WESTPORTS MALAYSIA DRAGONS over SAN MIGUEL BEERMEN, 73-70
The Westports Malaysia Dragons put in a big performance in the second quarter, which saw them run away with their third consecutive win. The Beermen fought hard in the second half and strong plays nearly took the game into overtime again, but the Dragons held fort to snatch the win

Dragons big man Brian Williams was held down to just 11 points, but managed to complete his eighth consecutive double-double by also recording 16 rebounds. Teammate Tiras Wade was the top scorer for the game with 28 points. It was a good game from beyond the arc for the Dragons’ local players, with Shee Fai Loh and John Ng sinking all five of their three point attempts.
Two of the Beermen had double-doubles in this game. Dalron Johnson recorded 22 points and 14 rebounds while Doug Thomas put in his own contribution of 16 points and 12 rebounds.

SAIGON HEAT over CHANG THAILAND SLAMMERS, 60-55
Tan Binh Stadium was a full of fans going crazy after the Heat beat the defending champions Chang Thailand Slammers for their first win in the AirAsia ABL Season 3.
Jonathan Jones led all scoring with 18 points for the Heat and Noy Javier, who made a couple of big shots at the end of the game, finished with 17 points. Boyet Bautista and newly acquired Chaz Briggs had 13 points each for the Slammers.
Javier made two crucial plays for the Heat down the stretch. He went to the line with 3 minutes left in the game and the Heat still down 51-53. Javier was able to hit his first free throw, but Devon Sullivan was there to grab the offensive rebound and pass it back to Javier, who made a three-point shot to give the Heat a 55-53 lead. Javier then made another jumper to stretch the lead to 57-53 and lift the Heat to the big win.

AIR ASIA PHILIPPINE PATRIOTS over BANGKOK COBRAS, 80-72
The red hot Philippine Patriots came into the game eager to continue their winning streak and succeeded in defending their home turf with a convincing win over the Bangkok Cobras.
The Patriots’ Anthony Johnson recorded a double-double with 26 points and 13 points while Ardy Larong contributed 13 points. For the Cobras, Marvin Cruz and Jai Reyes were the joint top scorers with 21 points apiece.
The Cobras had problems from the field right from the start and were limited to just two points from a Michael Earl shot for half of the first quarter. They found themselves with a 10-point deficit early in the game, but managed to close it down to just four by the period’s end. Warren Ybanez caught fire for the Patriots in the second frame to help the home squad take a 9-point gap to the halftime break.
The Pinoys further increased their lead in the second half by shooting well and limiting the Cobras’ field goal makes. Reyes and Cruz tried to rally the Thais in the final 10 minutes, but they fell short when the final buzzer sounded.
