These Miami Heat just won’t flame out. Not yet. Not until they’ve dumped the Boston Celtics by the wayside. Which is still two games away.

“Feel good about it,” LeBron James said. “Series is far—far, far, far—away from over.”

That can’t be any more true.

They’ve beaten Boston twice, and soundly at that. This after Boston swept the Knicks. This after Boston was supposed to be the be rested and refueled. This after people talked about Boston being Miami’s insurmountable foe.

This time around the Big 3 all put up big numbers: James scored 35, Dwyane Wade netted 28, and Chris Bosh got 17 and 11 rebounds. When Miami’s terrific triumvirate hits it on all cylinders, good luck.

And these Celtics haven’t had any luck so far. Not in this series. Not even if they have that clover thingy on their logo. All of a sudden, Ray Allen just looks a step too slow when guarding Wade. All of a sudden, the Boston interior seems perforated. All of a sudden, the Miami supporting crew is responding well.  All of a sudden, the Celtics are down 0-2, with Rondo, Pierce and Allen injured to boot.

OKC over MEM, 111-102 (Series tied 1-1)

Oklahoma contained the dynamic duo of Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol, and got a big lift from the second-stringers as they tied the series at 1 game apiece. That still means the Grizzlies have home court advantage, but at least the Thunder have proven they can beat this Grizzlies squad in the Kendrick Perkins era.

Zebo and Gasol were checked and they finished with a combined 5-22 from the field. Mike Conley and OJ Mayo tried to make up for it with 24 and 16 markers respectively, but the Thunder bench just negated any chance for Memphis to storm back.

James Harden hit all his charities and Eric Maynor nailed 3 triples to lead Oklahoma’s reserve onslaught. The Thunder enjoyed 48 points off the pine as opposed to Memphis’s 29.

Scott Brooks has something to worry about, though, as Serge Ibaka left the game with a right leg injury near the end of the match. But they’ll just have to deal with that and prepare for Game 3, which should prove to be the swing-game in the series.
