- After Mongolia surprised Chinese-Taipei with a strong showing, Japan stamped their class on the hapless Mongolians today.
- Japan was led by Takuya Kawamura's 29 point explosion. He was supported by Shinsuke Kashiwagi's 20 and Takumi Ishizaki's 18.
- Mongolia leaned on the 24 points of Uuganbayar Oyuntsetseg and the 19 of Battuvshin Bilguun

China over S. Korea, 61-54
Quarter scoring: 15-10, 28-26, 47-38, 61-54
- This was a tense and physical contest with a handful of players fouling out.
- China's Han Shuo was given a blow to the head that resulted in him getting bloodied.
- It was a very low-scoring affair for both teams, despite their firepower and skill level.
- China will face Japan in the semis and S. Korea will go up against Taiwan.
- China was led by Meng Duo's 14 points while Su Wei and Yi Li each scored 11
- Oh Se-Keun and Lee Seung-Jun top scored for the Koreans with 12 and 11 respectively.
