After the JUMP: Game reports for action in Weeks 6-9 of the Batch 99 Division of the Ateneo Basketball League!
Week 6:
AHS 4J 99 over AHS 4I 99, 80-62
- Newly-installed AHS PRADA Head Coach Jing Naynes had a breakout game, scoring 15 points, grabbing 7 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists to lead 4J past 4I.
- The imposing inside duo of Joe Silva and Marty Gallego helped him out by combining for 20 points and 24 rebounds. Silva, the current AHS Juniors Head Coach, also blocked 4 shots.
- Super shooter Euan Sanchez led the way for the I-boys, hitting 5 treys on his way to 29 points. He was backed up by Redg Plopinio's 17 points and 5 boards.
- This win practically ensured 4J of a semis slot thanks to a superior quotient over 4I.
AHS 4E 99 over AHS 4H 99, 96-63
- 4E had another big game. They had five players in double-figures as they asserted their supremacy over the H-boys.
- Bajjie Del Rosario had another double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Pope Gumabao, Ian Maambong, Pochoy Labog and Angelo Cabalona all scored in twin digits with 13, 12, 10, and 10 respectively.
- 4H's Chickoy Antonio threatened to pull-off a triple-double with 18 markers, 8 boards, and 8 dimes. Marco Campos also had a strong game with 16 points and 12 caroms.

Week 7:
AHS 4I 99 over AHS 4H 99, 76-57
- The I-boys's big three of Paolo Cagalingan, Euan Sanchez and TJ Flameno came to play in this one, combining for 46 points. Cagalingan shot 9-of-13 from the floor and grabbed 9 rebounds, while Sanchez hit 3 triples and Flameno got 3 steals.
- JR Cabalza led the way for 4H with 16 points, while Nino Avenido tallied 8 points and 9 rebounds to anchor the fight around the basket. Chickoy Antonio and Mik Cargullo also back them up with 10 points apiece.
- This game further underscored 4H's troubles this season. When complete, they are a legitimate threat to anyone, but that is exactly the problem -- they've never been complete.
AHS 4E 99 over AHS 4BG 99, 53-44
- The E-boys repeated over 4BG albeit this time they did it in a low-scoring affair. Bogey Bernardo cooled off in this one, but Bajjie Del Rosario picked up the slack with another supreme double-double outing. The former Blue Eagle scored 24 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, had 6 assists and got 4 blocks in a well-rounded effort.
- BG was led by Joey Puno's 16 points, while Bam Mammuad scored 12 of his own. Clint Erestain collared 10 boards to go along with his 8 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. Mark Estrellas and Ivan Pimentel held the fort down low, too, pairing up for a dozen ribbies.
- BG played without Yong Gregorio and Kenneth Cordova, but they still managed to keep it close. They have yet to beat 4E in two tries this season, however, and they just might get their chance if they can get into the Finals.

Week 8:
AHS 4BG 99 over AHS 4J 99, 101-64
- Despite playing just 6 guys, BG was still able to pull this one out of trouble thanks to the magnificent triple-double display of Yong Gregorio. Gregorio, who enjoyed a big growth spurt in his HS days, finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in a sterling effort. He also had 3 steals and 1 block. Clint Erestain and Bam Mammuad were the big guns in this one as they finished with 29 and 20 points respectively. Erestain also grabbed 13 boards while Mammuad had 4 thefts. Everyone scored at least 10 points, with Kenneth Cordova tossing in 17 markers, Ludwig Sandoval turning back the clock with 12 points, and Enzo Flojo managing 10 of his own.
- 4J played without big guy Joe Silva, and it showed. Marty Gallego and Brian Daquigan led the J-boys with a combined 36 points. Gallego also grabbed 17 rebounds in a herculean effort. 4J's free throw woes continued, though, as they shot just 3-of-10 from the stripe.
AHS 4E 99 over AHS 4I 99, 83-80
- This was a bona fide shootout as both teams made a combined 20 threes out of 58 tries. Euan Sanchez shot 5 treys, while both TJ Flameno and Mong Alcaraz made 2 each for 4I. The 9 total three-pointers, however, weren't enough to upend the erstwhile undefeated E-boys, who made good on 11 of their own long toms.
- Bogey Bernardo, Angelo Cabalona, Bajjie Del Rosario, and Pochoy Labog all made at least 2 triples each to lead 4E's charge. Pope Gumabao was the main man down low with 16 markers, while Cabalona and Bernardo finished with 17 and 16 points respectively.
Week 8 Stat Leaders:
Week 9:
AHS 4J 99 over AHS 4H 99, 69-62
- Despite playing just 5 guys, the H-boys still put a good scare in the J-boys. Jomar Go led the way with 24 points for 4H, while Chickoy Antonio produced a double-double with 19 markers and 11 boards.
- Joe Silva's imposing presence, though, proved to be too much. The Blue Eaglet mentor came through with 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead 4J. Jay Hernandez, Dodge Mozo, and Marty Gallego all patrolled the boards well with a combined 28 boards.
AHS 4BG 99 over AHS 4I 99, 78-74
- Yong Gregorio put on a great shooting display, making 12-of-19 from the floor to lead BG to its 5th win. He finished with a game-high 27 points to go along with 11 rebounds. Kenneth Cordova caught fire, too, with 3 triples on his way to 24 markers. New daddy Joey Puno showcased his playmaking skills with 9 dimes. He also made 2 treys. Bam Mammuad, meanwhile, continued to be a supreme defender with 4 steals.
- Euan Sanchez continued his hot-shooting ways with 4 triples for 4I, even as Paolo Cagalingan and Christian Caverte both produced impressive double-doubles. Cagalingan had 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Caverte finished with 16 and 10. This loss ensured 4I's ouster from semifinal contention.
AHS 4J 99 over AHS 4E 99, 55-50
- Someone finally tarnished 4E's otherwise immaculate win-loss record. Marty Gallego bucked a twisted ankle to lead the J-boys in this breakthrough win. Gallego finished with 10 points on top of 21 big rebounds, though his free throw woes continued as he converted on just 4 of his 20 attempts. Glan Marquez also had a breakout game with 11 points and 8 rebounds, while Dodge Mozo was solid down low with 14 markers and 6 boards.
- Pope Gumabao led 4E with 18 points and 15 rebounds, but it wasn't enough as they missed the services of top wing scorer Bogey Bernanrdo. Despite the loss, 4E is assured of a slot in the Batch 99 Finals.
AHS 4H 99 over AHS 4BG 99, 69-66
- 4H's win completed a night of upsets as they finally put one under the win column against BG 99, The H-boys came back from a double-digit deficit in the first quarter to thwart BG, which played without its starters.
- Chickoy Antonio and JR Cabalza each finished with double-dobubles. Antonio had 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Cabalza had 20 points and 11 boards. Jomar Go topscored with 25 markers on 12-of-17 FG shooting.
- Sandro Paredes led the BG charge with 24 points, but he shot just 12-of-32 from the floor. Adrian Dimacali and Ludwig Sandoval tried to anchor the frontline with a combined 23 rebounds, but it was not enough as BG suffered its 3rd defeat of the season. The loss, however, didn't prevent BG from barging into the semifinals, where they will collide with the J-boys for the right to face 4E 99 in the inaugural Batch 99 Finals.
